Policy, Planning & Regulation (Government & Defence) Full time The Risk Manager supports the application and continuous improvement of the Mint's risk management framework which includes related policies, procedures and tools.They play a pivotal role in risk management and the maintenance of the system.The Risk Manager completes risk reporting.The Risk Manager provides the Accountable Authority, Senior Management team and internal committees with appropriate advice and reporting to ensure risk is embedded within decision making.They work across all levels of the Mint's risk management framework (Strategic, Enterprise and Operational) to ensure the framework's operational success by assisting each work group with their unique challenges.The Risk Manager is an advisor to the Mint on supply-chain, financial, project, contract, governance and compliance risks.They apply management oversight of the risk tools and framework Mint wide, and work collaboratively with subject matter experts in specialist risk areas.The Risk Manager undertakes initiatives to ensure the Mint's risk management framework is fit for purpose, understood, consistently applied, robust, transparent and well managed.They are pivotal to supporting a healthy risk management culture.The duties of this position include:Leading the Mint's risk management function and the day-to-day operation of the risk management framework.Providing risk related advice to stakeholders by reviewing information such as risk assessments, contracts, policies, procedures and plans; and working closely with subject matter experts and managers.Leading or participating in the development of risk assessment and management strategies at all organisation risk levels.Developing and refining the Mint's risk management framework including drafting policies, procedures and work instructions.Supporting the administration of a risk management information system.Evaluating, auditing and reporting on risk management measures and outcomes such as appetite, tolerance, and control effectiveness and maturity.Ensuring the risk management function operates cohesively within the Mint's Integrated Management System.Participating in risk-related and Mint-related forums, events, and working groups internally and externally.Ensuring compliance with any requirements of the Australian Public Service.Supervising team members and working collegiately with others in the Branch to achieve operational goals.Security clearanceThis position requires a Baseline security clearance.The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.How to apply Please submit your application by 11:30pm on 20 November 2024.You will need to upload:A current resumeA one-page-pitch that describes how your skills meet the requirements of the role as detailed in the position description.Information on applying for a job in the Australian Public Service is available at the Employment page of our website.Applications will need to be submitted through the APPLY button at the bottom of this page.Should you have any questions regarding the role, please contact Teagan Payne on. #J-18808-Ljbffr
