About the role
The Senior Practice Coach (Domestic and Family Violence) role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of targeted learning & development activities and discreet project initiatives that improve staff knowledge and practice when advocating for families experiencing violence with a holistic, integrated service response throughout the branch and improved access to the mainstream domestic and family violence service system. The role combines a level of systems activities, higher level leadership responsibilities, and staff coaching that aims to build the nuanced and accountable ways of working with families to ensure family preservation and safety.
Duties
* Assist in the implementation of trialing and executing the case management framework for staff learning and development, as part of a ‘cycle of care’, mirroring case managed supports provided to clients.
* Lead the development of a systematised and automated approach to staff practice, in line with the program logics and models of care.
* Lead the ongoing delivery of the Practice Skills Program, focusing on improving the practice interventions and professional behaviours of staff related to child protection cases.
* Case Manage staff to provide intensive one-to-one practice improvements to support, ensuring selection of staff are supported based on lowest client outcome performance across branch.
* Lead the development and ongoing execution of rigorous risk management practices across Human Service teams, particularly in Youth Justice and Child Safety Out of Home Care and Statutory Interventions.
* Maintain a high level of consistency and accountability when actioning scheduled tasks in LogiQC.
* Work to foster productive relationships with all staff internally and externally.

* Two permanent full time positions.
* Starting salary of $99,000 per annum (depending on qualification and experience).

Required
* Current Bachelor’s Degree, in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention or Criminology with 6 years’ relevant experience in child protection, youth justice or mental health field
OR
Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 8 years’ relevant experience in child protection, youth justice or mental health field.
* Demonstrated ability and comfortableness working in a performance driven environment to meet individual weekly, monthly and quarterly performance targets.
* Demonstrated ability and theoretical knowledge of client agency, self-efficacy and facilitating change through client empowerment, while actively discouraging client dependence on supports.
* Demonstrated in-depth knowledge pof the child protection system in Queensland.
* Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple services in providing access to holistic care for clients, particularly integrating internal agency supports across multiple teams.
* Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills.
* Knowledge or willingness to learn adult teaching and pedagogy approaches.
Additional Requirements
* Requirement to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region, as per program location.
* Current drivers’ licence.
* Requirement to work outside core 9am-5pm business hours in meeting individual client needs and provide responsive care.
* Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.
* National Police Clearance.
