In this role you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to our mothers and families, in line with the core values and strategic direction. Acting in a professional manner when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families, and the wider community, you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care.Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will meet the following criteria:Registration with AHPRA as a Registered MidwifeRecent experience working in birthing unitKnowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplaceDemonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)A keen interest in antenatal and postnatal educationThe flexibility to work across a rotating roster will be essentialRemunerationOn offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
