At Infinite Aged Care, the Team Leader of Housekeeping plays a vital role in the delivery of quality housekeeping and cleaning services, focusing on infection control and ensuring a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
Reporting to the Facility Manager, this position works alongside and is responsible for supervising cleaning and laundry staff to ensure high standards are maintained. As part of your role, you will review processes, identify improvement opportunities, complete audits and provide feedback to facility management, as well as coach, mentor, and train team members at our Mount Lofty facility.
This role is a physical role whereby you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues, and our residents. About You Compassionate, with a customer service mindset, you have leadership qualities and strong communication and problem-solving skills. You build supportive relationships and strive to ensure your team delivers the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
We hire on attitude and aptitude, so you DO NOT need experience in the aged care sector. However, you do need to be aligned with our philosophy and values and be able to demonstrate previous leadership/supervisory experience in a similar environment, as well as:
Ability to problem solve and 'think on your feet'. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintain high cleanliness standards. Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, providing guidance and support. Create work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets effectively. Conduct regular inspections ensuring cleanliness and laundry quality standards are met.
