Day to day activities
4. Develop and execute a targeted consumer media strategy to deliver increased awareness, share of voice and positive brand sentiment.
5. Develop and implement proactive consumer media campaigns promoting the brand, people, leadership, products and services.
6. Prepare and manage a calendar of consumer PR
7. Develop and cultivate relationships with consumer, industry and mainstream media and manage day-to-day media engagement.
8. Support the content and promotion of key consumer communication platforms (e.g. LinkedIn)
9. Support the consumer media communication needs sponsorship, partnership, and Research Foundation arrangements.
10. Work with the broader business and leadership to determine new media opportunities to address and promote core industry and business pillars including the employer brand, healthcare innovation, community health, wellbeing, and sustainability
Ideal Candidate
11. At least 8 years in a consumer or corporate media relations role with a proven ability to work with consumer media outlets.
12. Experience in insurance or health sector, and journalism or agency, highly regarded.
13. Strong consumer relationships and enjoys fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
14. Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field required.
15. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and high attention to detail.
16. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
17. Proven ability to build consensus and influence effectively across departments and divisions, able to instil confidence from stakeholders.
18. Creative thinker and able to keep up with the demands of a 24/7 media cycle.
19. Easily able to identify and distil story angles and potential media opportunities.
