Your new role
The role is part of the Business Analysis Practice. The role is designed to support the delivery of projects run by the Strategic Delivery team in Fund Services by critically analysing current state business solutions across people, process and technology dimensions, to identify; design; prepare; and implement enhancements.
This will mean engaging with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and suppliers as well as working collaboratively with project team members and business users to assist with on-boarding new business solutions and/or enhancing existing business solutions, in order to evolve the Groups' platforms, services & capabilities that underpin the broader operating model.
Some key responsibilities but not limited to;
4. Undertake critical analysis of current state solutions to identify and document root causes of problems, whilst developing considerations for future state solutions
5. Understanding of current state and assist with the design of a future state processes taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of a portfolio management system (PMS)
6. Translate front, middle and back-office business requirements into PMS (Alternate Assets) functional requirements. Identifying the business need, determining the solution approach and defining solution scope
7. Working in conjunction with the Lead BA/Project Manager, undertake documentation of business requirements for new initiative and services and/or new capabilities required in both Agile and Waterfall approach
8. Analyse source data to map data to target application including transformation logic and develop data migration | controls to load into target application.
9. Responsible for the documentation of business process and service design improvements or new capabilities to develop and implementponents of the Group's platforms and service operating model
10. Take a lead role in liaison with the vendor, translating functional system concepts into an AustralianSuper context
11. Drive evidence-based decision making - including appropriate and simple metrics that provide solid data for informed decision making, such as business strategy alignment, cost/benefit, and cost/quality/risk
What you'll need
12. Hands on experience of the portfolio management systems (Unlisted/ Alternate Assets) is essential
13. The ability to translate PMS business requirements into functional and data requirements. Identifying the business need, determining the solution approach and defining solution scope
14. 7+ years of experience working as a senior business analyst within Investments, asset management and portfolio management system, implementation and support services in a technical environment
15. Ability and experience in E2E requirements management lifecycle
16. Proven ability to synthesize detailed information and confidently present to senior stakeholders
17. Considerable product knowledge including the following financial instruments: (equities, bonds, swaps, loans, unlisted assets) and their associated investment data
18. Ability to synthesis process models to identify gaps, document requirements and services
19. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve defined and emerging project oues and the ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships
20. Meticulous, high attention to detail, lateral thinker, with excellent problem-solving skills
21. Ability to document and manage within Confluence/ JIRA environment
