Sydney Asset Management Permanent Our client is a global impact investment and social development firm seeking an Impact Investment Analyst to join their Sydney team. The firm has a number of Australian and Asia-Pacific based projects and project prospects in development making it an exciting time to join. This role will work closely with the capital team, partners, and clients to support all stages of the project cycle: project origination, pre-financial close project development, social/environmental impact methodology development, financial structuring, and public/private capital-raising. Responsibilities: The succesful candidate will act as a core part of the investment team based in Sydney. Tasks include but are not limited to: Assist senior staff in all activities related to the origination, capital raising, monitoring & reporting for relevant impact investments. The undertaking of detailed project-related research and analysis of investments. The undertaking of detailed social and environmental research related to individual projects and the broader business’ impact framework. The undertaking of market-related research pertaining to specified investment themes. Help in the management of key client relationships for project development. Formulate and manage project budgets. Conduct financial analysis and review financial information for lender/investor material. Assistance in the preparation of key social and environmental analysis documentation. The management and coordination of key internal investment-related documentation. Assist in the administrative development of key internal processes including CRM investment guidelines and communications. Supporting the development of key presentation material. Provide general support to senior staff on an ad hoc basis. Required/Desired skills: University degree in Commerce, Economics, Law, or similar with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role. Financial modeling skills/experience. Experience in an investment/corporate banking, private equity, or consulting environment. An interest in Impact investing, social development and renewable energy would be beneficial.
