About the Role
As the Assistant Centre Manager, you will play a key role in managing team performance and fostering a positive team culture, while supporting the Centre Manager in overseeing daily operations. In this position, you’ll have hands-on involvement in the learning spaces, ensuring that each team member meets required standards and that our philosophy, policies, and procedures are upheld. Your close collaboration with the Centre Manager will allow you to contribute meaningfully to the centre's success, enhancing the quality of service we provide to our children, families, and community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee team member performance to ensure they meet the standards of Mid Valley Early Education, providing both guidance and support as needed.
2. Uphold our commitment to respect and attention for each child and family, advocating for the centre within the community.
3. Ensure all policies, procedures, and the service’s philosophy are consistently followed by all staff.
4. Provide supervision and mentorship to team members, creating a cohesive and supportive team environment.
5. Report regularly to the Centre Manager, sharing both achievements and areas for improvement.
6. Engage respectfully and consistently with families, reinforcing strong relationships between our centre and the community.
7. Actively support and perform administrative support functions to ensure the centre is compliant.

Requirements:
1. Minimum of EC Diploma and all relevant certifications, including WWC, First Aid, Child Protection etc.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and building a strong team ethos.
3. Commitment to high-quality education and care standards as outlined in the National Quality Standard.
4. Passion for establishing positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and the community.
