What You’ll Be Doing
This role will provide high-quality customer service, administrative support, and assistance in delivering programs across the Ageing & Inclusion and Families & Young People departments and sites including Elizabeth Rise Community Centre, Grenville Hub, Library venues, John McVeity Centre, Healthy Food Co, The Precinct, Northern Sound System, as well as other community programs and events.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Providing outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting community members with enquiries, complaints, and requests.
* Supporting the coordination and facilitation of community programs that promote inclusion and active participation and build community capacity.
* Supporting the delivery of social inclusion programs for people living with disability that maximise independence, build capacity, promote community inclusion and adhere to relevant legislation and quality standards.
* Assisting with administrative tasks, including site bookings, program marketing, and promotions.
* Overseeing and assisting with the setup and pack-down of hired community spaces, ensuring compliance with hire agreements.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services, customer service, or a related field. In addition, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in facilitating and delivering community programs and activities.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality customer service in a retail, hospitality, or community services environment.
* Strong ICT skills, including experience with booking systems and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
* Strong problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment.
* A commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.
This position requires a National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check. The successful applicant must satisfy or be willing to satisfy these requirements as part of the recruitment process.
