About the RoleMater Health Services is currently accepting expressions of interest for a highly skilled Infection Control Facilitator to join our team in a permanent part-time opportunity. The successful applicant will work within rehabilitation, medical, and surgical unit cohorts, ensuring the development of programs, policies, and processes that align with contemporary infection control practices.Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will undertake key responsibilities including:Collaborating with departments and quality managers to ensure initiatives and programs are consistent and applicable to hospital operational and strategic objectives.Promoting and adhering to Mater's Mission and Values.Accepting, adhering to, and promoting workplace safety in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, policies, procedures, and model guidelines.Coordinating planning for, and responses to, all infection control related processes.Contributing to the integration of sound infection control principles into procedural workflows and assessment outcomes requiring remedial action.Participating and contributing to local and state-wide Infection Control Meetings and Working Groups.Preparing and presenting Infection Control reports, both written and verbal, to key stakeholders.Supporting infection control processes, procedures, and plans by providing education and training to staff.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following criteria:Current and ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or another professional registration relevant to the role.Able to demonstrate current and in-depth knowledge of AS5369 (sterilizing standard).A commitment to ongoing education and learning.
