Primary Objective
The Training Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of all training and professional development activities within the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the staff of approximately 700 individuals are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles effectively. The Training Coordinator manages the logistics of training sessions, liaises with external training providers, handles queries, and conducts post-training evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
* Schedule and organise internal and external training sessions and professional development activities.
* Develop and maintain a training calendar that aligns with organisational needs.
* Coordinate with department heads to identify training needs and priorities.
* Source and liaise with external training providers, ensuring they meet organisational requirements.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with training vendors to secure the best possible service and pricing.
* Maintain relationships with external providers to ensure quality and relevance of training content.
* Organise all logistics related to training sessions, including venue booking, equipment setup, and catering if required.
* Ensure that all training materials are prepared and distributed in advance.
* Manage participant registration and attendance tracking.
* Respond to and manage all training-related queries from staff in a timely manner.
* Provide support and guidance to employees regarding their professional development opportunities.
* Develop and distribute post-session feedback surveys to gather insights on training effectiveness.
* Analyse feedback data to identify areas for improvement and report findings to management.
* Implement changes based on feedback to enhance future training sessions.
* Maintain accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, feedback, and certifications.
* Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and participation rates for management review.
* Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in training and professional development.
* Propose new training initiatives to address emerging needs within the organisation.
* Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position
About You
* A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field desirable.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in training coordination, learning and development, or a similar role, preferably within a not-for-profit organisation.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A Working with Children’s Check clearance number.
