About Us
Mk3 Group is an Australian-owned company, who offer specialised end-to-end Building Inspection and Residential building repair services to the insurance industry throughout Australia. We are looking for a full-time Landscape Gardener/Laborer to join their team and will be responsible for the maintenance and care of company owned assets and properties.
Your New Role
Your primary responsibility is to carry out dedicated maintenance and gardening works to our company properties. You'll be working closely with our office team, as well as other trades teams to ensure seamless coordination and prompt completion of jobs. Depending on the situation, you may be working independently or as part of a team.
* Tending to green spaces.
* Preparing and maintaining garden beds.
* Preparing and maintaining lawns.
* Removing weeds, trimming, hedging, and pruning plants.
* Designing gardens and selecting plants.
* Ability in basic landscaping i.e. paving and block laying.
* Installing and maintaining irrigation systems.
* Using pesticides and fertilizers.
* Planting and propagating plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and bushes.
* Capable to operate commercial lawn and garden care equipment.
* Mowing lawns and using gardening tools.
* Inspecting plant health to decide on necessary care.
* Maintain company machinery and equipment.
* Ability to work on the physical demands of the job.
* Carry out maintenance works allocated by trade allocators for company properties.
* Adhering to work health and safety protocols.
About You
* Must have proven and demonstrated experience in property maintenance and gardening at least 3-5 years post trade.
* Horticulturist Certificate III (desirable but not essential).
* Driver’s license.
* Own hand tools (preferable but not essential).
* Strong sense of responsibility and pride in personal appearance and work quality.
* Ability to stay motivated and meet deadlines.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
* Excellent communication skills and high standards of work to ensure smooth job progression.
