This Trust is seeking a highly skilled and technically able Financial Controller to join their team.
This integral role is responsible for managing all aspects of transactional finance across the Trust.
This includes overseeing a team of four, financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as developing internal control policies and procedures and managing ad hoc projects.
Role Responsibilities: Produce Financial Accounts, including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and payroll control accounts.
Ensure the organisation is compliant with all VAT legislation and provide timely and accurate reporting to HMRC.Maintain robust internal controls.Streamline processes and procedures.Manage all external audit requirements and liaise with the Trust.Produce statutory accounts and ensure they are submitted accurately and on time.Oversee the submission of all other external financial reporting required, ensuring timely and accurate submission, such as the ESFA year-end return.Manage and oversee the transactional functions, ensuring adherence to best practices.The successful candidate will be a natural leader with a strong background in finance and a passion for delivering excellence.
You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You will also be committed to promoting best practices within the organisation.
