The Lake House Denmark is a family-owned and operated award-winning wine and food producer, cellar door, restaurant, and provedore store open 7 days a week. We are all about sharing a taste of the good life with our customers and our team.
We are looking for a hands-on, dedicated, and passionate cook or foodie to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to source and use the wonderful array of regional produce available in the Great Southern as well as utilize vegetables grown in our organic vegetable garden and orchard.
Responsibilities:
1. Food preparation and service.
2. Stock ordering and control (minimizing wastage).
3. Working with management to manage the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
4. Assist with the development of menus and recipes using our Vinofood gourmet condiments.
5. Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and working order.
6. Maintain a professional hands-on approach to food service within a kitchen whilst achieving the highest quality service, presentation, and delivery to customers.
The position is part-time with a minimum of 2-4 shifts (days only) per week, including weekends; however, a full-time position could exist for the right person. You are also required to work during the busy tourist times, including long weekends, Christmas, Easter, and school holidays.
