Job Summary:
In a collaborative team environment, we seek a Senior Account Manager to provide expert account management and support our strategic and operational goals. This role involves building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, reducing injury risk, and improving claim outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply expertise to maintain a sustainable fund within a regulatory framework.
* Engage with customers, unions, and employer associations to enhance claims outcomes and foster strong relationships.
* Understand business drivers, engage with high-cost industries, and identify partnership opportunities.
* Provide strategic advice to senior management on claims and premiums, develop action plans, and create an account management framework.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, lead injury risk reduction initiatives, mentor team members, manage escalated complaints, coordinate educational events, and ensure compliance with financial, records management, and audit controls.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years relationship or account management experience, preferably in insurance/financial services or government/broader industry.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills to interact with others and develop stakeholder relationships.
* Comprehensive understanding of commercial, industrial, and political considerations that impact on WorkCover and its stakeholders.
* Strong financial management skills including the ability to develop business cases and budgets and interpret management reports.
