The Deputy Director of Emergency Medicine is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting the Director in ensuring excellence in emergency medicine. The role involves promoting and delivering exceptional training in emergency medicine to Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) trainees, prevocational trainees, and other health professionals and students.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Director in ensuring excellence in emergency medicine
* Promoting and delivering exceptional training in emergency medicine
* Providing high-quality clinical care, including assessment and treatment of patients presenting to the ED
* Collaborating with the Director and Medical Workforce Unit to maintain the senior roster for the Emergency Department
* Acting on behalf of the Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine during periods of leave or as operationally required

Essential Requirements
* Specialist registration as an Emergency Physician with the Medical Board of Australia
* Significant experience in emergency medicine
