About the Opportunity
We have a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated Learning and Development Officer to join our team in working across our Region 7 depots (Ryde and Willoughby).

Role Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Learning & Development Manager - Driver Training, you will be responsible for the training and assessment of employees focusing on classroom training, driving skills and assessing potential employees. The main duties of the role include but are not limited to:
4. Developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with management and staff
5. Assessing and coaching new and existing employees in on-road driving skills, customer service, workplace safety and ticket machine usage
6. Facilitating effective, interactive group training by creating a positive learning environment
7. Conducting technical training in on road driving skills, vehicle and route familiarisation with positive outcomes for learners
8. Carrying out coaching sessions and refresher training in technical driving skills
9. Maintaining currency of knowledge on all policies, procedures and legal requirements as well as maintaining a best practice approach
10. Managing your own daily schedule to ensure all training activities and assessments are completed
11. Researching and utilising new learning and development content, methods and materials for training
12. Working both autonomously and within a team environment to achieve KPI’s and excellent training outcomes
Required qualifications & skills
13. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded) or willingness to obtain
14. Current NSW Drivers' Authority or willingness to obtain
15. Current Drivers Licence (HR class minimum)
16. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
17. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
18. Possess the ability to learn and understand material quickly in order to facilitate training sessions
19. Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, meticulous with paperwork and the ability to maintain focus under pressure
20. Possess a demonstrated ability in successfully engaging learner groups using interactive and interesting techniques Intermediate computer skills
21. Willingness to adapt in a changing environment
22. Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
The following would be considered an advantage
23. Current RMS Driver Instructor accreditation for MR class or higher
24. Willingness to travel between Busways existing depots within NSW and SA
