Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.Demonstrated clinical practice in infection prevention and management.Demonstrated ability to apply relevant standards, legislation and policies related to infection control.Proven clinical leadership with strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment and use high levels of initiative to achieve required outcomes.Strong proficiency in computer / IT systems.Position Profile: The Clinical Nurse – Infection Control is responsible for the coordination of the infection control program across Broome Regional Health Campus which includes the design, implementation and evaluation of all aspects relating to infection prevention and control.
The Broome infection and prevention and control program is evaluated using the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHS) from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC).
