Your Opportunity
As a Teacher for TAFE Queensland, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching and assessment to a wide range of clients through:
1. Outcome-focused vocational education and training (VET) programs
2. Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers
3. Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies
4. Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement. This position reports to the relevant Educational Team Leader.
This is a Temporary, Part-time opportunity until further notice. The position will be based primarily at Southbank, however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and requirements:
1. Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
2. Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Youth Work, Diploma of Mental Health and Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention;
3. Cert III Community Services, Cert IV Youth Work and Cert IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention, Cert IV in Mental Health, Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work;
4. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
1. Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
2. Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
3. Current evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
