Charterhouse is working in partnership with a top tier, national law firm in the search for a commercial property lawyer. This is a rare opportunity for early career lawyers as the firm is keen to appoint some new into their career as they have the support and resources to train and mentor.
* Full time, permanent
* February or March 2025 start
Responsibilities
* Customer service - service a mix of clients including local government, small business, farmers, schools, NFPs and marinas
* Property transactions - drafting, review, negotiation, due diligence, settlements and conveyancing processes
* Leasing and tenancy matters - commercial leases, disputes, renewals and terminations
* Development and planning - regulations, approvals, compliance, special projects
* Finance and securities - property finance agreements, caveats, easements and other interests
* Dispute resolution - breaches, disputes, property rights issues
* Compliance & risk management - ensuring all compliance and advising clients on risk management strategies
Qualifications :
* Qualifications in law with some experience (Paralegal or Graduate Lawyer) in commercial property
* PEXA and duty self-assessment experience preferred
* Admitted in Queensland
