Projects include control systems for total artificial hearts, connected implanted devices, medical automation and robotics, and wearable life-sustaining technologies.Job DescriptionThe RoleYour core responsibilities for this role include:Lead and contribute to the design and development of complex systems within the biotech and scientific field.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and interfaces.Manage and oversee the entire system engineering lifecycle from concept to deployment.Provide technical expertise in system integration, verification, and validation activities.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for system-related issues.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation's engineering processes.Desired Skills and ExperienceDesired Skills and ExperienceA degree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in leading and managing complex systems engineering projects.Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing system architectures.Strong background in medical device development, ideally Class III medical devices.Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for system modelling and simulation.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements within the medical device or R&D industry.A track record of successfully delivering high-quality results within set timeframes.The successful candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.This is a permanent full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make significant contributions to world-first medical device development.If you’re ready to join a high-impact team pushing the boundaries of medical innovation, let’s talk!
