This is currently a coal port with a future and expansion into renewables such as hydrogen & phosphates.This is the perfect opportunity to obtain a vast amount of practical experience and apply engineering solutions to a wide variety of structural integrity problems. No day will be the same!Based at a large port, you'll liaise between the Client and the Senior Site Engineer. You'll oversee and provide structural engineering support to structural maintenance crews and the engineering department. Structures include large conveyors, transfer towers, surge bins, bridges, offshore/marine structures, shiploaders, stackers/reclaimers & dump stations.The key prerequisites are:Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (RPEQ Structural required)Structural steel & concrete design and inspection experienceConfidence to make engineering judgement decisionsProvide expert advice to site engineering and maintenance teamsExperience with hands-on-site inspection work and construction supervisionAbility to manage and delegate work to structural team membersInspection & design of heavy structures and materials handling equipmentSolid knowledge of steel, concrete, wind and materials handling codesWell-developed report writing, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and commitment to safetyA positive & proactive attitudeHold a current driver's licenceAn attractive salary package (PLUS paid overtime) will be negotiated depending on your experience.
