As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead sales development in Queensland and beyond. About the Role: This newly created position requires a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales and grow market presence, focusing primarily on the mining sector with opportunities to expand into the fire brigade market. Working remotely, you'll need to be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of managing your time effectively to meet sales goals and foster strong customer relationships. This role involves a mix of business development, key account management, and hands-on product demonstrations. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to drive new business opportunities within the mining and fire brigade sectors.- Build and manage relationships with key B2B clients and stakeholders.- Meet and exceed sales budgets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.- Conduct product demonstrations for clients, showcasing solutions that enhance safety and performance.- Regularly visit clients across Queensland to provide hands-on service and support.- Represent Fire Response at industry tradeshows and exhibitions across Australia.- Collaborate with the head office, report to the Managing Director, and contribute to tendering processes.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system and other sales tools.- Work closely with the broader sales and product teams to ensure effective service delivery and client satisfaction.- Potential overseas travel for product training and supplier visits. Qualifications & Experience:- 5+ years of experience in business development or B2B sales, with a proven history of meeting and exceeding targets.- Experience selling into the mining sector or fire safety industry is highly advantageous.- Experience with mobile equipment, firefighting products, emergency response solutions, or similar industries.- Ability to work independently from a home office, with excellent time management and organisational skills.- Willingness to travel frequently across Queensland and occasionally interstate and overseas.- Strong solution-based selling skills, with the ability to demonstrate products and tailor solutions to client needs.- Comfortable working with CRM systems and maintaining detailed client records.- A valid driver's license is required. Key Skills:- Proven ability to build and nurture B2B relationships.- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.- Ability to plan and forecast sales activities and targets effectively.- A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.- Experience with fire brigade products, mining machinery, thermal imaging cameras, or firefighting foam is a plus.
