What You'll Do:
Plan and implement community focused services and programs that are responsive to community needs
Complete all relevant reporting requirements for the state government/State Library and the Shire
Lead the library service to ensure it is administered and resourced to a contemporary standard
Evaluate library activities to ensure they comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and recommend and implement improvements that will benefit the community.
What You'll Bring:
Previous experience in a similar role – local government experience desirable
Highly developed administrative skills
Well developed ICT skills
Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills including influencing and advocating
Well developed written skills including the creation of professional report writing and presentations
Well developed leadership skills, the ability to resolve conflict and work effectively with others
Initiative, creativity and adaptability
Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and ensure attention to detail

Selection Criteria
Essential
Minimum Cert IV Library and Information Services
Current WA 'C' Class driver's licence.
National Police Clearance.
Pre-employment medical.
Desirable
Previous experience in local government/library services and/or experience using the Spydus system
