As a result of continued growth, a leading specialist insurance provider is looking for a Technology Risk Manager to play a key role in embedding a culture of technology-aligned risk management within the business.The successful applicant will be required to lead independent IT risk based reviews of all business areas and processes to ensure that all key risks are identified and controls are implemented.The role holder will be required to raise and escalate potential gaps found and then make recommendations for improvements based on the reviews.The role requires the use of practical skills, and the ability to interact in an effective and knowledgeable manner with other staff working at all operational levels of the business.Key Responsibilities:Carry out technology risk assessments across the various departments within the business, assisting key stakeholders with the identification of technology risks and mitigating controls in their business units.Analysing identified trends in key risk indicators and recommending controls to prevent a repeat of risk events.Updating local technology risk policies to ensure best practice.Preparation of technology risk and compliance reports for board reporting.Provide ongoing training to the business, and staff induction regarding technology risk.Suitable candidates will possess: Educated to at least a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience acting in a Technology Risk or IT Audit capacity.An in-depth understanding of Insurance or Banking products is ideal.An understanding of the Australian and international regulatory environment.Strong experience in technology controls testing.The role requires an individual who is an effective manager of senior stakeholder relationships, with the ability to see projects through to the end.Strong report writing and communication skills.If you are interested in discussing this role or having a confidential career discussion, please contact ****** for more details. #J-18808-Ljbffr
