About the Role
Nganampa Health Council is seeking clinic-based Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives to join their dedicated teams in South Australia.
In these highly varied roles, you will deliver primary healthcare in accordance with the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual, and assist in the early detection and management of chronic illness as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborating with medical officers, program staff, Anangu staff, and other health personnel to provide primary healthcare
* Treating acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions, managing computerised recalls, and conducting patient follow-up care
* Child health monitoring and immunisations
* Administering adult and COVID-19 vaccinations across all age groups
* Assessing and referring social welfare issues
* Conducting public health screenings for communicable diseases including STIs, HIV / AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, and C
* Managing antenatal and postnatal care
* Supporting job specific education for training Anangu staff
* Performing day-to-day clinic administration tasks
About You
We are looking for experienced RNs or RN-Midwives passionate about equal quality care for all.
The ability to communicate and participate effectively within a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary health team and a demonstrated understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal health will be beneficial.
Our successful candidates will:
* Be a Registered Nurse or an RN and Registered Midwife, registered with the National Board of Nursing and Midwifery
