Job Description The Role Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and motivating your team while ensuring they deliver professional, efficient, and consistent service standards. This is a hands-on role, where you will oversee the service of food & beverage, with a constant focus on providing excellent guest experiences while exceeding in your ability to train hospitality staff through tailored programs, staying updated with industry trends. Furthermore, your duties will also include; Ensure the service of food and beverage within the restaurant, room service, conferencing, and occasional residential catering are at a consistently high standard. Aligning staff initiatives such as recruitment and training for maximum efficiency. Ensure constant liaison with the Conference & Events Manager, Marketing Manager, Venue Manager, and Executive Chef in order to maximize F&B profits in all F&B areas. Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen team to ensure service times are adhered to and ensure a seamless operation between front and back of house operations and a positive working environment. Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving. Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted. Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess: Several years of experience in the restaurant industry, particularly in a high-end restaurant or hotel; Previous experience in managing staff and restaurant operations is essential; Knowledge of wines and experience as a sommelier would be advantageous. A genuine love for and interest in all thing's food and beverage.
