Job Description
Australian Training Works Group (ATW) have an exciting opportunity to work with the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning (DSDILGP), as a full-time Business (Admin) Trainee.
The traineeship provides paid, on-the-job training and the successful trainee will receive a Certificate III in Business upon completion. No prior experience or qualifications are required.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Assist in providing program support for the economic development activities, including support to regional stakeholder relationships and priority projects
* Provide support with scheduling, monitoring, preparation and coordination of research and other requests ensuring they are actioned in accordance with deadlines.
* Provide support with the coordination and management of events, forums and workshops for the region including providing direct support to the presenter when required
* Provide support relating to the management of finance, information management (including correspondence), records and assets in accordance with departmental procedures and policies
* Complete the relevant qualification, effectively balancing study and work commitments.
Position Criteria:
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
* Current driver’s licence (minimum P1) preferred but not essential.
* Must pass criminal history / police check
* Keen interest in Business / Administration
* Full-time position - able to commit to full-time work (Monday - Friday - 5 days, 38 hrs / week)
* Basic knowledge of operating Microsoft Office 365 and a willingness to learn new systems
