Seasons is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and capable Cook on part-time basis, to run the kitchen at our Mango Hill community. Flexibility to work across all 7 days of the week is required.About the RoleCore Responsibilities:Prepare and deliver menus planned by the Chef in advance, with cost controls in place.Assist in implementing and monitoring all food production to ensure presentation, quality product and service standards are upheld.Prepare, cook, and serve food according to dietary, nutritional, and cultural needs.Support Chef to maintain, monitor and record all Food Safety Program requirements.Train staff as required in the correct use of kitchen equipment, standards and procedures to ensure safe food handling.Efficiently order food and equipment supplies.Ensure compliance with the relevant food and catering preparation regulations.Assist with cleaning/kitchen housekeeping duties as may be required.Follow and implement diet and care plan directives.Top SkillsProven experience with volume cooking (hotels, healthcare etc.) or similar environments.Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.Good computer and technology skills (laptops, smartphones, tablets etc.).Maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen.Empathy and understanding of the needs of residents’ and their families.Job requirements:Availability to work weekends.Tertiary qualification in hospitality and/or equivalent relevant experience in a role.2yrs+ experience in commercial kitchen, preferably within an aged care environment.To ApplyAre you the kitchen professional we are looking for?
