The Financial Accountant role is a key role within Tibra's global Finance function. Tibra's Finance team is responsible for the daily, monthly and periodic processing for all revenue and expenses.
In addition, the Finance team is responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Tibra Group as well as aspects of payroll.Tibra's Finance team also looks after shareholder matters for the Tibra Group as well as direct and indirect tax reporting.The Finance team provides all the financial accounting and management accounting services for the Tibra Group.
The Financial Accountant at Tibra can be expected to be involved in the following key activities:
Preparing multi-year budgets and forecasts
Providing variance analysis on deviations from budgets and forecasts
Preparing Board Packs including in depth analysis of Group results
Assisting with internal / external audits
Preparing regulatory and statutory returns
Preparing payroll journals
Preparing annual financial statements
Researching and drafting of accounting policies and procedures
Monitoring the daily trading P&Ls including reconciling trading positions
Capital calculation and reporting
Completing month-end reconciliation of cash position, cash movement and payroll
Completing the month end process for all entities including intercompany transactions
Managing expenses in a Contracts Database
Managing payment sign-off process and maintain bank systems/ relationships
Driving cost saving initiatives through rigorous analysis and understanding of cost drivers
Maintaining relationships with the business' clearer and prime brokers, including regular meetings
Liaising with Finance staff in various regions to ensure Group Processes are followed
Liaising with non-financial staff and effectively handle any queries
Experience & Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of Excel, databases and query functionality
High proficiency with SQL
Visual Basic skills preferred but not essential
Understanding of shareholder issues e.g. distributions
Solid and extensive understanding of the financial markets and products traded within them
CA I CPA qualified
Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn new software applications and accounting software
Knowledge of Netsuite accounting system an advantage
Financial Services experience desirable
