Salary: $2,124.60 per week FTE
Working Hours: Part Time - 68 hours per fortnight
Basis of Employment: Fixed Term - Monday 3 February 2025 to Sunday 15 February 2026

About the role
The Aged Care Services Manager is responsible for and oversees the following service areas including Support at Home (Home Care Packages Program), Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Aged Care Finance, and Aged Care Administration Support. The Aged Care Services Manager is an integral member of the aged care senior leadership team with the primary purpose of the role being to:
* Provide high-level leadership to staff across multiple aged care service areas and partner agencies within the program
* Ensure that all service standards and targets are met and that appropriate processes are in place to enable continuous improvement of services
* Participate in the development of service budgets and business plans and ensuring business plan objectives and budget targets are achieved
* Ensure implementation of organisational policy, standards and procedures
The current vacancy is for a part-time role to cover parental leave and annual leave. The role reports to the Director – Aged and Home Care Services (Hamilton) and will manage the Aged Care Services team to deliver excellent customer service to home care packages and aged care placement clients across Western District Health Service’s campuses. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of each of the aged care programs managed within this department.
You will bring
* Management qualifications preferred and /or years of experience in aged care
* Minimum 5 years of experience in aged care
* Leadership skills and experience in managing a team
* Sound understanding of the aged care sector
* Ability to interpret financial data and develop budgets
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
