$76,277 - $83,274 up to 15.4% Superannuation Kapooka - NSW The Role An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and outcomes focused Logistics Officer to join a dedicated team delivering health services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members in the Wagga Wagga region. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving moderately complex logistics, governance, facilities, and asset management tasks within an integrated workforce. This will include inventory and supply chain management activities, development and analysis of briefs and reports, and providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders. The APS 4 Logistics Officer must understand and comply with relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, as well as Defence logistics policies and procedures. Under limited guidance, they will be responsible for prioritising their work activities and making decisions within their area of responsibility. Further, they will be responsible for supervising and providing support and training to junior team members. About our Team Joint Health Command (JHC) is responsible for the delivery of healthcare services to over 70,000 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Through the delivery of reliable, resilient and best practice health services, JHC enables a healthy, ready, and supported Force from enlistment through to transition from service. Health care services are delivered through eight Joint Health regions across Australia. The APS 4 Logistics Officer position is part of Joint Health Unit - Southern NSW/ACT and is based at Kapooka health centre, Wagga Wagga, NSW. This position provides support to both Kapooka and Wagga Wagga Health Centres. Each Joint Health Unit facility provides a range of services, which can include medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, rehabilitation, and in-patient care. The JHC workforce is an integrated, multi-disciplinary team of Defence members, civilians, contractors and professional health providers. We work together to manage around one million patient health service interactions with Defence members each year. The APS 4 Logistics Officer reports to the Practice Manager, Kapooka Health Centre and technical guidance and support is provided by the Logistics Officer of their Joint Health Unit with further technical guidance available via the Directorate of Health Material, Logistics and Pharmacy. The broader Logistics team has representatives nationally, providing a network of support for Logistics Officers. They will be able to prioritise and support multiple tasks across a broad range of functions including inventory management, estate and infrastructure planning, and reporting and governance. They will possess a good understanding of relevant legislative and policy frameworks, and must be able to exercise some initiative and judgment in the interpretation and application of policy in the conduct of their duties. They must have good communication skills and the ability to develop productive relationships across various stakeholder groups to achieve desired outcomes.
