What’s the role?We have an exciting opportunity to join a digital product team managing some of the most well-known media brands across Australia. Whilst our focus is in the media landscape and building world-class products for our news audience, we take a broader approach to product optimisation by unpacking the ways in which our audience consumes content.Not limited to news content, we are focused on emerging digital consumption trends, across all content creator and distribution channels, to make sure we are delivering quality journalism in a format that suits our audience needs.Reporting to the General Manager of Digital Product, this role is responsible for contributing to the delivery and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for News Corp Australia’s digital products for our Food brands, including Taste.com.au and Australia’s Best Recipes.The Senior Product Manager will drive prioritisation, gather and validate requirements, collaborate with business stakeholders and stay across consumer and competitor trends. They will work side by side with a multidisciplinary team across the Food brands to drive meaningful product outcomes that will increase user engagement and create growth opportunities.What you’ll do: In this position you will be responsible for driving and contributing to the digital product strategy and creating a clear and compelling vision for the team and stakeholders.You will ensure the successful delivery, execution and continued optimisation of our products to deliver the best in class engagement and functionality for our consumers, clients & audiencesCollaborate with senior stakeholders to unpack business problems, provide expertise in product solutions, share insights into audience trends/engagement, influence company-level buy-in and bring them along on the product journey - from ideation to delivery. Manage a product manager to deliver and maintain the product roadmapOutline priorities that align to the product and business outcomes.Use data and qualitative and quantitative insights to drive product decisions and align the business on priorities Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment where sharing of ideas, insights and expertise is sought out, to drive the best consumer and business outcomes.Who are you?Experienced in digital product strategy, creating scalable product roadmaps and working with delivery teams to hit deadlines and achieve desired product outcomesYou understand the importance of building strong relationships and are known as a trusted digital product expertYou ‘get things done’. You are just as comfortable defining the product strategy as you are with ground level execution, working alongside the UX, design and engineers to get into the detail and remove roadblocks.Strong analytical skills. The ability to build reports, understand the data and most importantly, derive valuable insights from data to guide product decisions.Experience driving complex, cross-functional product initiatives across several dependent teams/platforms that drive high quality outcomes at speed.Strong strategic thinker and problem solverA champion for the consumer, you are driven to constantly iterate and improve the product experience and listen to your consumers.You are comfortable working with opposing business views and priorities and strive to deliver business needs, without jeopardising the user experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrevious experience as a senior product manager or a strong product manager looking to move into a senior role.News BenefitsNews Benefits is our way of saying thank you to our people for their valued contribution to News, our audiences, clients and communities.
