The MHECS Clinician collaborates with the on-call consultant psychiatrist to develop plans that assist emergency department clinicians in managing mental health consumers' risks, medications, and ongoing care plans.The MHECS Clinician will also perform duties as a Police Ambulance Clinician Early Response (PACER) Clinician, conducting emergency assessments in community settings with police and ambulance services, both in person and via virtual platforms across the district.As an experienced clinician, the MHECS Clinician possesses extensive specialist knowledge in mental health, advanced reasoning skills, and operates autonomously with minimal direct supervision. They are expected to exercise independent professional judgment in solving problems and managing complex cases.The MHECS Clinician will act as a professional role model, advocate for patients, and provide effective clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment.
