Learn more about us @ Home | CatholicCare Tasmania About the Role Our Specialised Family Violence Counselling Program focuses on the individual client whilst holding in mind a purposeful approach to building capacity and improving relationships with key people in the client's life.
As a Specialised Family Violence Counsellor, you will work with individuals (including children and young people) who have experienced family violence, or people who choose to use family violence.
This role also has capacity to provide general counselling for our EAP clients.
There are also opportunities to facilitate group programs.

About You You will have demonstrated experience in working with individuals and families which may include grief and loss, substance use issues, parenting challenges within a family violence environment.
Three years post-graduate direct counselling experience is required for our EAP clients.
A tertiary qualification at degree level in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline is essential.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to effectively develop and maintain partnerships, networks and client relationships.
You will be required to hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons' Registration, current Australian driver's licence, and maintain eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
