Cleanaway’s Narangba facility is an industry-leading used lubricating oil re-refining facility located 30 minutes north of Brisbane, recycling and processing more than 25ML annually of used lubricating oil.
The Opportunity
The Refinery Operations Manager holds a pivotal position within our re-refining process, providing essential guidance to our operational staff, ensuring seamless technical oversight throughout the entirety of the process. This role is crucial in cultivating a culture of ownership and accountability among our operations and maintenance teams, actively fostering engagement and consultation to drive towards the achievement of production goals while maintaining stringent safety standards.
Additionally, the Refinery Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability of skilled labour and optimising operations to meet our internal production targets. They will develop and maintain an effective management framework for our refinery's maintenance strategy and budget, while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations.
About you
You will be a leader who is a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, likely coming from a refinery/heavy industry, mining or oil and gas environment.
Additionally, you will have:
A tertiary qualification within engineering or chemistry
Demonstrated leadership experience with at least 5 years engineering experience
An understanding of P&L management and cost management
Experience in operations in hazardous areas
Experience participating in Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP’s, HAZID’s, SAFOP’s)
Management of Process and systems improvement including development and implementation of SOP’s and management of change protocols
