Salary to be negotiated. 6 weeks on/9 days off OR 8 weeks on/12 days off. Three-month trial period. ACCOMMODATION: 2BD 2nd floor apartment with balcony and sea views. Managers must live on-site. HOURS: Office is open 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, 365 days a year but rarely required after 7pm. START TIME FRAME: Position open to start at any time. Owners can be hands-on as long as required during the 3 month trial period. THE AREA: We are in the heart of a popular beach precinct, only a stroll to well over a dozen top restaurants and a local shopping village. Only 600 metres from beautiful beaches, marina, Yacht Club, break wall walks, as well as bush walks in either direction. EXPECTED ATTRIBUTES: Must possess friendly, interpersonal and communication skills. Be well presented, personally. Must possess an ability to positively diffuse and manage conflict. SKILLS REQUIRED: ONE TEAM MEMBER must be efficient in a busy front office domain with: Attention to detail with a work ethic of dedication to maintain the high standards we've set for guest satisfaction. Experienced in reception software (currently Guest Point), channel manager (Channex), Excel, Word, Email bookings, OTA bookings. Ability to manage day-to-day operations, including check-ins and check-outs whilst handling 2 incoming phone lines & dealing with walk-in guests/check-ins. 10 to 60 bookings per day (average of 30). Highly developed written & verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail & excellent grammar skills which are both essential. Professional telephone manner. Ability to provide a welcoming environment for guests. The ability to manage time effectively with attention to detail. THE 2ND TEAM MEMBER must possess basic office/clerical skills to assist front office as well as: Be adept with handyperson skills (ie change a tap washer, remove a flyscreen or roller door, concrete & pool maintenance, basic painting, unclog a drain or toilet, replace a curtain rod, a key lock apparatus, a vacuum hose/attachment, or a door hinge etc). Must possess the ability to oversee property maintenance including cleaning cobwebs, trimming plants, cleaning concrete, daily grounds blow vac, pool upkeep. Must be across coordination & supervision of room deep cleans on a quarterly basis & ensure high standards of cleanliness across rooms and property. If not proficient/experienced in these skills, your application will NOT be acknowledged. OTHER DUTIES: Staff management, rostering and wages for a cleaning staff of 5 to 7 people. Daily stripping of rooms in prep for cleaners. Washing of all cleaning rags & tea towels. Washing of blankets, runners, protectors for quarterly deep cleans on a rostered basis. Assist with cleaning duties when unexpectedly short staffed. Ensuring Air Con & Carpet cleaning is booked & completed on a regular basis. Ordering of all amenities, linen and motel requisite stock. Reporting and accountability to offsite management/owners. Be well presented with a professional demeanour. Eligibility to work in Australia. Excellent command of English language, verbal and written. Consent for a police background check. Recent and relative references.
