PsychPhys is seeking an experienced and qualified part-time (2 days per week) Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Victoria. The Role: The Bookkeeper role holds responsibility for actioning all accounts Payable duties including, maintaining accurate financial records, completing BAS and GST Refunds supporting Payroll in the payment of Payroll Tax and Superannuation, as well as working closely with the company’s accountant to ensure compliance in the overall accounting functions of the business. Responsibilities: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Process accounts payable invoices in a timely manner to ensure payments are made on time Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations Liaise with Customer Service Team around accounts receivables to ensure receivables align with payables Collaborate with the wider business to provide financial information and advice on accounts payable matters Candidate: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a small to medium-sized business Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software Xero Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Proficient in Google Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or equivalent experience A satisfactory Police Criminal Check dated within 6 months of commencement. A valid Employee Working with Children’s Check. A current Driver’s License Access to a vehicle for travel.
