The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Airport team. You will be responsible for administering the East Kimberley Regional and Wyndham Airport's Operational, Emergency, Environmental, Security, and Safety Programs to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation.
This role is also responsible for:
Review and maintenance of the Airport's Operational Manuals, Airport Emergency Plans, Safety Management System, Drug and Alcohol Program, and Wildlife Hazard Management Plans in consultation with internal and external stakeholders;Provide accurate and timely advice to Airport Staff on compliance requirements;Carry out the role of Aerodrome Reporting Officer and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Part 139, Aerodrome Manuals, and under the Airside Safety Management Systems (ASMS);Develop and ensure allocated works programs and the undertaking of minor repairs of services associated with airport pavements, lighting, drains, wind indicators, visual slope indicator systems, fencing, and other critical systems;Respond to emergency and security situations, accidents, and participate in regular exercises in line with Aerodrome Manual and Aerodrome Emergency Plan (AEP);Ensure exceptional airside safety levels that meet the requirements of MOS 139 and the EKRA ASMS;Ensure that the EKRA and Wyndham Airports facilities are maintained to CASA standards;Update the Airport Operations Manual, Safety Management System, Airport Emergency Plan, Wildlife Hazard Plan, and the Drug and Alcohol Management Plan;Maintain liaison and good relations with Airport tenants, aircraft operators, and relevant government and aviation regulatory authorities.A Degree Qualification in Aviation or a related field equivalent or at least three years demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential. You will also need a current unrestricted WA Drivers Licence, current First Aid Certificate, Certificate II in Security Operations, Aerodrome Reporting Officer & Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate from an approved authority, Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency, and ASIC Aviation Security Identification Card.
You will need developed written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage your own time, set priorities, plan and organize work to meet specific timeframes and allocated tasks, demonstrated ability to work independently, and take ownership to resolve factors that may influence the delivery of service in a timely manner. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with a high degree of flexibility within a changing workplace environment, and demonstrated knowledge and experience in Airport Operations, CASA orders, Transport Security Program, Safety Management Systems, and Aerodrome operations are required.

Location and Remuneration Package The role will be based from the Shire offices in Kununurra. An attractive remuneration package will include base salary, housing or housing allowance, professional development, location allowance, relocation reimbursement up to $15,000, and 11.5% Superannuation. This role is full-time with a remuneration package ranging between $120,000 - $140,000 (inclusive of Superannuation and Allowances) per annum.
