Bensons is a leading UK designer and manufacturer of bespoke and high-quality electrical control panels and systems. We are trusted by companies in a diverse range of industries throughout the World, and to support our ongoing development and growth we are looking to recruit a pre-work production operative to join our Manufacturing Facility in Normanton.The pre-work operative is a vital member of our team, responsible for preparing all the panels before they enter the wiring stage. Our panels are custom-made and therefore vary in size and complexity, meaning no day is the same. Key tasks for this role include:Accurately cut and mount various metalwork, trunking, and brackets, welding any mounting studs where needed.Manually cutting/drilling/finishing panel doors.Using technical drawings to determine the position and orientation of each electrical component, which is then securely mounted and tagged.Checking all paperwork and documentation is correct before reassembly.We use a variety of machines and tools to complete these tasks, from dinrail cutters to busbar bending machines, and full training is provided. Please note that an element of manual lifting is required.A keen eye for detail is essential along with good communication skills; this role requires collaboration between Design, Quality, Production, and Stores.
