We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the team at the Maraboon Tavern. We offer a range of delicious meals utilizing fresh and seasonal produce, specializing in quality!
As a Sous Chef, your day-to-day duties include assisting the Head Chef in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen operation, ensuring that meals are of high quality and prepared professionally, along with monitoring younger kitchen staff.
The following skills, behaviors, and qualifications are essential:
Certificate III in Hospitality (commercial cookery) or higher
Kitchen management experience in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills
Availability to work hospitality hours
Ability to manage conflict, remain calm under pressure, and work unsupervised
