About the Role :
This Senior Business Analyst position is based in NSW and is responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement during detailed process mapping, developing high-level business cases, and conducting gap / option analyses. The Senior Business Analyst will apply expertise in project methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, to deliver projects efficiently while supporting architectural consistency and usability standards.
The preferred candidate will support an initiative focused on transforming our current Works Order Management Systems and implementing a new Field Service Management System. Experience working in technology change with a blue-collar workforce, including field workforce planners and job scheduling in the gas / electricity sector, would be highly beneficial.
Your Responsibilities Will Include :
* Applying expertise in methodologies (such as Agile and Scrum) to enhance project delivery.
* Collaborating closely with stakeholders to define business problems, elicit business and technical requirements, and produce a set of end-to-end customer journey maps to align with future state capabilities.
* Ensuring that projects are aligned with organisational strategies and that the delivery of outcomes contributes meaningful value to the business.
Experience :
* Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related discipline, with solid experience in Business Analysis.
* Understanding of organisational structure and operations, with familiarity in areas such as customer innovation, utility metering and revenue, asset management, or construction.
* Experience working in change and communications strategy, plan and delivery (hands-on) for key enterprise applications and business processes, including complex work ordering systems / processes.
* Experience in standard business analysis tools, frameworks, and techniques, including process mapping, requirements documentation, benefits elicitation, and tracking.
* Exposure to Service Design tools and techniques, such as market research, business model canvas, and prototyping, with practical experience in these areas is preferred.
* Fieldwork / Asset Management experience is also required for this role.
About You :
* Tertiary qualifications and / or higher in IT, Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related discipline.
* Sound understanding of field management systems, asset management, and utilities discipline is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to support task prioritisation and resource management for business analysis activities, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
* Strong stakeholder / business engagement skills and excellent relationship management at all levels of the organisation, from senior management to field services.
* Solid experience in both strategic planning and hands-on requirements gathering for medium to large-scale projects.
* High-level understanding of financial knowledge sufficient to calculate revenue streams, asset life cycle costs, payback periods, etc., as used in business case justification processes is an advantage.
* Proven track record of delivering business analysis activities for complex projects or programs in a mid-to-large organisation, with experience in the energy or related domains is highly preferred.
* Supporting business analysis activities during early project stages, including gathering and synthesising information to align business needs with strategic outcomes.
* Willingness to travel to VIC and remote sites if required.
This is a hybrid role working from our Greystanes depot 80% of the time, with the rest being remote work.
