About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers
2. Pre and post analytical specimen handling
3. Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
4. Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
5. Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required
6. Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests
7. Staying up to date with processing updates
8. Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries
9. Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
10. Previous experience processing medical laboratory samples.
11. Experience in operating laboratory analysers
12. High attention to detail while working to deadlines.
13. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
14. Ability to communicate effectively with health professionals internal and external to the business.
