Our client is supporting a complex programme that requires a senior cost manager to join their team.The cost manager will have experience in understanding the characteristics of projects over a life cycle, with a good working understanding of the concepts, tools, and techniques.Ideally, experienced in the defence or commercial sector, to lead activities on a high-profile Cost Model for Through Life Costing and Sustainment Affordability Capability programme.In order to deliver the required conformity and maturity within the available time, a range of deliverables are expected including: The role: Project plan and schedule model Documentation - Through Life Capability Costing Configuration Control plan Produce monthly project cost reports Review and upgrade existing programme model Develop Affordability model and implement initiatives to drive efficiencies Benchmark against current & similar Through Life Support Programmes Compare forecast and actual expenditures Identify Risks and potential high value components that will impact on Cost Model Report and communicate to Stakeholders on regular tasking and outcomes You will hold a tertiary qualification and have a minimum of 10 years experience within the Defence or Government Sector with Financial Management exposure.An understanding of Defence Earned Value Management criteria would be advantageous, as well as involvement in Sustainment, Through Life Cycle Support Capability Planning, Project Planning and Schedules, or Configuration Controls.Ultimately, the client is looking for candidates who take an active interest in the project and are proactive in resolving issues or problems.Due to the nature of the programme, applicants must hold an NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance as a minimum.All applications should include your resume as a Word document.For more information, visit our website, or contact Mark Henneberry on 02 9492 7539.#J-18808-Ljbffr
