We are seeking a highly skilled (NV2/TSPV) Systems Administrator – Linux at SFIA level 3-5 to join a dynamic team supporting enterprise data and analytics platforms. You will oversee the deployment and management of Linux-based systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. This is a key role where you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and optimize systems performance. Located in Canberra, this is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about systems administration in a cutting-edge technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, install, and maintain new and updated system components and services.
* Use system management tools to automate provisioning, testing, and deployment.
* Resolve operational issues and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
* Ensure system software is configured for optimal service delivery.
Key Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years of system administration experience.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as BASH and PERL.
* Ability to support operational systems including; server provisioning and deployment, monitoring and performance, security and compliance, backup and recovery, troubleshooting and support, automation and scripting.
* Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system challenges.
* Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipeline toolsets including GitLab, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift or similar applications.
* Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualification (e.g. RHCSA, LFCS, Cert IV in ICT)
Location: Canberra.
Contract Duration:
12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options.
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a minimum AGSVA NV2 clearance, with a preference for TSPV clearance to perform this role.
