Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits SA Pharmacy - CALHN Full Time, Permanent Role About the role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Allied Health Assistant (AHA) – Pharmacy to support the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service. In this role, you will assist with the dispensing and distribution of medications, manage inventory, and contribute to cashier and reception activities for both inpatients and outpatients. You may also be required to support the manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. As part of a structured career pathway, AHA Level 1 provides training opportunities, with progression to AHA Level 2 upon successful completion of a Certificate III qualification or six months of continuous employment, subject to performance standards. At the AHA Level 2, you will take on additional responsibilities, including technical training of staff, organising daily workloads, and assisting with ordering and pharmaceutical preparation. About You We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Allied Health Assistant (AHA) – Pharmacy who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to high-quality pharmacy services. To be successful in this role, you will have: Strong Technical & Organisational Skills – Good arithmetic skills, manual dexterity, keyboard proficiency, and data entry accuracy. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure safe and effective pharmacy practices. Teamwork & Communication Abilities – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being an effective team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in a professional manner. Pharmacy Experience & Industry Knowledge – Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy setting and proficiency in Pharmacy Management Software. Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology, dispensing methods, and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). Physical Capability & Attention to Detail – Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, squatting, and reaching when handling stock. A high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
