We are seeking Tour Guide professionals at the APS2 level. The ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and should be equipped with robust written and verbal communication.
Position Description:
* Provide customer service through face-to-face interactions with visitors, over the phone, and through online interactions, delivering informative information at all times.
* Deliver education programs and guided walking tours to visitors, including schools and the general public.
* Assist in operation, including opening and closing facilities and performing administration duties.
* Provide administrative assistance and general support to management.
* Participate in ongoing training and development activities to improve knowledge of tours and skills in tour guiding.
* Participate as a constructive member and provide reasonable support with Branch functions as required.
Key Capabilities:
* Ability to provide customer service and work within established procedures.
* Demonstrated capability to make presentations to a wide range of target audiences and interact with visitors.
* Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize activities, and be flexible, self-motivated, and decisive while working in a small team environment.
* Sound working knowledge of IT systems, including MS Office.
* Interest in and some understanding of history, development, and heritage.
Position Requirements / Qualifications:
* At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience working in a customer service environment is desirable.
* Ability to perform regular presentations of 60-minute intervals or longer.
* A sound working knowledge of IT systems, including MS Office, is desirable.
* Ability to gain and maintain a security classification of Baseline is mandatory.
* Ability to gain and maintain an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Registration and First Aid Certificate is mandatory.
