Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our participants, and we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality services.Role Description: As a Residential Care Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our residential services. Your responsibilities will include:Collaborating closely with our team to manage residential services.Demonstrating expertise in residential services and relevant policies.Handling budgetary and financial processes.Coordinating day-to-day operations, including rostering and emergency procedures.Providing high-level advice and support to our dedicated team.Ensuring the safety and well-being of all our participants.Attending internal and external team meetings.Conducting new client inquiries and intakes.Attending to any emergency matters in the residential SIL and SDA accommodation with people living with disabilities.Liaising with Support Coordinators when there are challenges with clients in the houses.Taking calls from support workers and other stakeholders when they need assistance.Meeting with other health professionals for sessions beneficial to the clients, like OTs, Behavior Specialists and other health allies.Setting up houses for new clients to fit their needs and organizing risk assessments with compliance.Ensuring that service provision is informed by the participants’ individual goals/needs and is in line with current participant protocols or individual service plans, from Special Care Australia or other services engaged through Supports Coordination.Working with the client and their natural supports to assess the quality and value of the supports provided and ensure that they are meeting the participants’ individual goals/needs.Assessing clients' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs, interviewing clients and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties, monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients.Supporting families and providing education and care for children and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing and government institutions.Assisting young people to solve social, emotional and financial problems.Key Competencies: To excel in this role, you should possess:High-level knowledge and understanding of Residential Services.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.A commitment to maintaining confidentiality.The ability to adapt work practices to meet operational requirements.Why Special Care Australia?At Special Care Australia, we care about our team.
