Nurse Educator Opportunity at Holmesglen Private Hospital

Key Responsibilities:
* Delve into education within the Oncology space, solidifying ADAC and EviQ understanding.
* Take on a leadership role in providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation to graduate nurses & students across the hospital.
* Integrate theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for new employees and experienced staff.
* Utilize strategies and tools to assess competence of new nursing staff members while contributing to quality and safety initiatives across the department.
* Attend relevant policy & procedure meetings, ward meetings, and monthly Education Meetings.
* Coordinate clinical placement and student education.
* Participate in mandatory training and orientation of new staff.
* Apply succession management and mentoring principles to engage self and others in ongoing career development and growth.
* Plan, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing education programs using contemporary education strategies and peer review to meet identified learning and workforce development needs.

Holmesglen Private Hospital is a comprehensive 147 beds acute private hospital offering highly specialized services including an emergency department, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery.
Essential Criteria:
* AHPRA Registration
* Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)
* Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated experience in tertiary education
* Advanced level of autonomous clinical and professional practice
* Minimal 5 years of clinical experience in oncology space
* Proven high-level skills in CVAD management, Chemo administration, and IV Cannula insertion to a teaching level
* Demonstrated experience in managing quality improvement projects
* Advanced level of decision-making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
