About Us: The Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHCCI) is the voice for business and industry in the Hedland region. As one of the largest Chambers of Commerce in the Pilbara, and one of the most dynamic and fastest growing Chambers in the entire state, we provide unparalleled service to our members and to the wider business community. The PHCCI run and manage a number of business incubators, including The WEB Business Hub, The South Hedland Hub, The Bungalow on Edgar and the Tradie Hub, each of which promotes the growth and diversification of the Pilbara small business community in a variety of sectors including professional services, trades-based businesses and retailers. Role Overview: As a Business Coach, you will play a pivotal role in assisting entrepreneurs and small-medium business owners to overcome challenges, capitalise on opportunities, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with a diverse range of businesses, offering personalised coaching, guidance, and mentorship to help them navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship and drive sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to small-medium business owners, assessing their current strategies, operations, and financial performance. Collaborate with entrepreneurs to set realistic and achievable business objectives and create actionable plans to reach these goals. Conduct thorough business evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Deliver workshops and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of small business owners in various areas, including marketing, financial management, and customer service. Act as a supportive and trusted mentor, offering valuable insights and guidance during challenging times or crucial decision-making processes. Facilitate networking opportunities and connect mentees with relevant resources, experts, and potential partners to foster collaboration and business growth. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and market developments to share valuable insights with mentees. Engage actively in community events and Chamber of Commerce initiatives, promoting the importance of small businesses in our region's economic landscape. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, or consulting for small businesses, preferably across diverse industries. Strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and sales strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas, strategies, and feedback to mentees and stakeholders. Empathetic and supportive nature, capable of understanding the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and providing guidance with genuine care. Strong networking skills, capable of building relationships with local businesses, industry experts, and potential partners. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business challenges and offer practical and innovative solutions. Flexibility to tailor coaching approaches to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each mentee. Familiarity with the Port Hedland business community and an understanding of the region's economic landscape and opportunities. A degree in business, entrepreneurship, management, or a related field is desirable, but substantial practical experience will also be considered.
